“In the show Untethered, Mark Holliday and I collaborated on a painting that embodies the themes associated with the word "untethered." Concepts such as shedding boundaries, breaking free, and exploring inspired our creative process. We decided to each create a separate painting in our studios, then exchange our works to incorporate our individual ideas into the final piece.

For this collaboration to be successful, we had to set aside our egos and remain open to new possibilities. This willingness to embrace each other's perspectives allowed the artwork to evolve in unexpected and meaningful ways.”
